Our Singapore facility is a strategic hub in the Asia Pacific region with 22+ years of expertise in the import/export, secondary packaging and labeling of clinical supplies, cold chain handling of temperature sensitive products, and full returns and destruction management.

We are currently recruiting an EHS & Facility Associate to join our site. The associate will report directly to the EHS & Facility Manager and will assist them in leading the progression of the site\xe2\x80\x99s Environmental, Health and Safety Policies and Procedures in compliance with both statutory requirements and best practice standards.

The role:

• Assist the Facilities Manager in leading the Planned Maintenance Program and maintain site security & compliance with Health, Safety and GMP legislation.
• Perform assessments for materials based on compound categories, hazard categories, dangerous goods, cleaning assessments, and/or personnel safety.

• Coordinate risk assessments with key stakeholders from various departments including but not limited to, Manual Handling, Work at Heights, Drug Spillage, Fire Legislation, etc.

• Coordination of the EH&S observation program and assist with tracking and reporting Safety concerns, positive behaviors, and improvements.

• Participation in EH&S inspections to identify and address findings/observations; create and maintain EH&S metrics.

• Coaching and guidance to all site personnel on EH&S initiatives. Onboarding of new starters.

• Perform root cause analysis; develop and implement corrective and preventive actions.

• Assist with management of vendors by performing the calibration/ mapping /verification of equipment and facilities.
• Assist to maintain records of the testing/calibration of equipment that are required to verify the accuracy of facility instrumentation.
• Supervise the work of contractors engaged on the site and ensure all Permits to Work are in place as appropriate.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Fluency in English, both orally and written
• Must have a good understanding of Singapore EH&S legislation.
• 3-5 years EH&S experience with a basic local EHS qualification preferred.
• May require working outside of normal working day to perform essential duties, responding to emergency conditions or to represent the Singapore site in global meetings (physical, teleconference or web-ex) relevant to the role.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, internally and externally.
• Good IT knowledge.
• Ability to work as part of a team but also under own initiative.
