We are seeking a highly motivated Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Junior Superintendent to assist Senior E&I Superintendent in all electrical and instrumentation activities associated with an FSRU conversion project.
Key Responsibilities:
Construction Management:
Assist and support the execution of electrical and instrumentation scopes during the FSRU conversion lifecycle.
Monitor installation, integration, loop checking, pre-commissioning, and commissioning of all E&I systems including:
Power generation and distribution (HV/LV)
Emergency and UPS systems
Integrated Automation System
Instrumentation for regasification, cargo handling, and utility systems
Communication systems
Technical Review & Compliance:
Review and familiar with electrical drawings, single-line diagrams (SLDs), I/O lists, cable schedules, and instrumentation datasheets.
Monitor compliance with applicable Class, Flag, IEC/ISO/ATEX standards, and project-specific E&I specifications.
Assist in monitoring Classification Societies and vendors to ensure all equipment and systems are certified and fit for marine application.
Supervision & Coordination:
Support in oversee E&I contractors and vendors at the shipyard ensuring safe and quality work practices.
Monitor work progress and schedule adherence.
Monitor and take part in coordinate with mechanical, structural, and commissioning teams to ensure proper integration of E&I systems.
Support safety reviews such as HAZOP, HAZID, and SIL assessments.
Testing & Commissioning:
Take part in FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing), SAT (Site Acceptance Testing), and commissioning activities for all E&I systems.
Monitor energization activities and ensure proper system interlocks and safety barriers are validated.
Support final integration with control and automation systems for regasification and cargo handling.
Documentation & Handover:
Support proper E&I documentation control including redlining of drawings, as-built records, and punch list management.
Provide technical input to operating manuals and maintenance procedures.
Assist in training and technical handover to the operations team.
Requirements:
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or Higher Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, or equivalent ETO discipline.
Relevant certifications in hazardous area installations (e.g., CompEx, IECEx, ATEX).
Experience:
Minimum 5 years ETO in FSRU/ LNG shipping
At least 3 years of direct experience in FSRU operation.
Solid understanding of marine electrical systems, instrumentation control logic, and hazardous area compliance.
Skills:
Supervisory skills in multi-discipline environments.
Proficiency in E&I documentation, inspection procedures, and commissioning protocols.
Effective communication, coordination, and reporting skills.
Proficient using English as work language.
