E&I Technician

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Install, calibrate, fix, repair, and modify process control instruments or systems for manufacturing applications as well as electronic, electromechanical, and pneumatic control devices for utility systems which support the manufacturing facilities. Managing and completing plant instrument calibrations such us Pressure Transmitter, Flow Transmitter, Temperature Transmitter, Level Transmitter, humidity sensor, analyzer etc. within the scheduling window in a compliant manner and in accordance with GxP practices.
• Calibrates readings on instruments according to standards and adjusts phasing and aligns stages to ensure accuracy of recording and indicating function.
• Troubleshooting instruments and analyzer and make adjustment to instruments and control systems, calibrate equipment, set up tests, diagnose malfunctions, and revise existing systems. Their work is performed either on-site or at a workbench.
• Performs process troubleshooting while maintaining production schedule.
• Prioritizing and completing reactive maintenance on instrumentation ensuring a minimum downtime to equipment.
• Assists Maintenance Lead to complete work activities timely, efficiently and satisfactorily
• Follow up and continue with the previous shift or day incomplete work
• Collates and reports the team shift or day activities to the Maintenance Lead
• Provides troubleshooting and diagnostic of equipment failure to determine the root cause and perform immediate corrective actions
• Standby for any emergency repair after office hours / weekends and public holidays
• Operates and maintains Utilities and Production support equipment efficiently and reliably to support production activities
• Performs and coordinates utilities shutdown, startup, swing over, and equipment servicing and inspection
• Identifies, executes and reports improvement to routine work activities
• Participates in the improvement to enhance equipment or system efficiency, reduce energy cost/usage and other cost saving/avoidance projects
• Performs jobs assigned by the Maintenance Lead pertaining to installation, modification, fabrication, testing, servicing and repairs of equipment, with adherence to site change control procedures or minor projects
• Performs testing, commissioning, qualification (IQ, OQ, PQ) activities
• Carries out Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) improvement initiatives (i.e., audits, training, etc ) and submit recommendation
• Performs job assignments by the Maintenance Lead pertaining to equipment or system or documentation or housekeeping
• Performs corrective and preventive maintenance for the MEI systems and facilities to ensure efficient running of equipment (e.g. checking line components, servicing of sensors, lubrication of bearings, servicing of dryer)
• Performs calibrations and preventive maintenance on all types of industrial instruments for temperature, pressure, level, flow, RH and analyzers (e.g. Sensors, indicators, recorders, transmitters, transducers, control valves, annunciators, pH and conductivity meters)
• Executes CMMS Work Instruction from process plants (e.g. Isolation and Reconnection of electrical supply, leakages, replace faulty part, troubleshoot/repair any E/1 or mechanical faults)
• Performs basic troubleshooting of the PLC, BMS, EMS and FAS systems
• Ability to perform machining and fabrication activities
• Participate in SHE, Business Compliance, cGMP and all other compliance-related matters, where applicable
• Supervise and oversee Third Party Contractors, where applicable
• Any other duties as and when assigned by the Managers
• After one year, you would need to perform the calibration of instruments independently in shifts.

WHAT YOU MUST HAVE

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Diploma in Electrical / Instrumentation
• Minimum 4~5 years of hands on experience in calibration & Maintenance.
• Should have GMP knowledge such as performing activities as per SOP\xe2\x80\x99s and work orders.
• Should be willing to work in 12 hour shifts including Sat/Sun
• Able to lift objects up to 15 kg weight for Calibration.
• Basic in computer skills
• Preferably worked in Pharmaceutical, Medical device and oil & gas.
