Job Description

Electrical engineers design, develop, and test electrical devices and equipment, including communications systems, power generators, motors, and electrical systems for water and wastewater treatment. They also identify and check specifications of these devices, systems, and equipment.MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES1. Responsible for the design of electrical components of water and wastewater project2. Check contractors work on site as compared to the designDESCRIPTION OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES1. Manage, design, develop, create and maintain electrical components of small-scale through to large-scale Water and wastewater construction projects in a safe, timely and sustainable manner2. Conduct on site investigations and analyze data (maps, reports, tests, drawings and other)3. Carry out technical and feasibility studies and draw up blueprints that satisfy technical specifications4. Perform engineering calculations to support design work5. Create and review technical drawings, plans, and specifications using computer software6. Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams, and work with vendors and contractor7. Assess potential risks, materials and costs8. Evaluates electrical systems, products, components, and applications by designing and conducting research programs; applying knowledge of electricity and materials.9. Confirms system's and components' capabilities by designing testing methods; testing properties.10.Assures product quality by designing electrical testing methods; testing finished products and system capabilities.11.Provide advice and resolve creatively any emerging problems/deficiencies12.Oversee and mentor staff and liaise with a variety of stakeholders13.Monitor progress and compile reports in project status14.Manage budget and purchase equipment/materialsEDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT Graduate of Electrical Engineering, preferably licensedEXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Minimum three years of applicable or relevant work experienceSKILLS REQUIREMENTS Exemplary work experience as a project engineer or design engineer preferably in water/wastewater project Significant working knowledge of design and visualization software such as AutoCAD Advanced MS Office skills Familiarity and ability to comply with all applicable rules, regulations, best practices, and performance standards Aptitude for working collaboratively with multiple disciplines within teams and projects Proven success in the areas of project management and supervision Current certifications in applicable skills a plusCORE COMPETENCY AND ATTITUDE/HABIT REQUIREMENTS Commitment and Integrity Professionalism and Communication Hardworking, dependable, and people-oriented Can to work in a neat and efficient manner, keeping work areas clean and well organized Can work occasionally in poor weather conditions, including heat, rain and the like Can relate to officials, staffs and clients in a courteous manner Willing to extend working hours to meet deadline if neededJob Types: Full-time, PermanentSchedule:
