Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Lead Installation Activities:

Execute and supervise the on-site installation and deployment of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) at customer locations, ensuring all work meets engineering and safety standards.

Project Coordination:

Work closely with internal teams (engineering, project management) and external stakeholders (clients, contractors, suppliers) to ensure seamless execution of installation and commissioning projects.

System Commissioning & Testing:

Perform commissioning procedures, system testing, troubleshooting, and validation of BESS to ensure operational readiness and grid or generator integration.

Electrical Integration:

Install and configure electric distribution boxes and ensure correct electrical connections, including interfacing with diesel generators where applicable.

Technical Expertise:

Apply solid understanding of diesel generators, electrical distribution systems, inverters, and power electronics to effectively install and integrate energy systems.

High-Voltage & Safety Compliance:

Work safely with high-voltage systems, following industry best practices and site-specific safety protocols for energy storage and electrical systems.

Documentation & Reporting:

Interpret electrical schematics and single-line diagrams; document work performed and provide detailed reports on installation progress, testing results, and system performance.

Qualifications and Skills:

Proven experience installing and commissioning energy storage or power systems Strong understanding of diesel generators, inverters, and electrical distribution Proficiency in reading electrical schematics, blueprints, and single-line diagrams Knowledge of high-voltage systems and safety practices in the energy sector Excellent communication and coordination skills Willingness to travel to project sites and work in field environments
