Job Description

• Assist Facilities Manager in the energy management efforts for the site including procurement of energy and optimal utilization and be the responsible person for interfaces with the regulatory authority in Singapore.
• Develop Standard operating procedures and risk assessments for operation and maintenance of electrical equipment
• Assist to ensure electrical continuity by securing electricity and gas contracts, procurement and efficient management of electrical and process equipment.
• Evaluate and propose benchmarks for organizational energy consumption and monitor their implementation
• Actively carry out site inspections and energy surveys and identify, implement energy efficiency improvements
• Drive Energy Committee’s efforts after leading its formation
• Interface with energy authority and licensed Professional Engineer for electrical license of the facility
• Keep up to date with legislation and environmental standards and make sure electrical and life safety systems and processes comply
• Assist in the purchase of electricity, natural gas and water, jointly lead sustainable energy initiatives researching new energy methods like renewables, cogeneration
• Manage life safety systems like fire alarm and insurance coverage for buildings, ensure timely response to issues such as electrical outages, breakdowns and plan for contingencies
• Implement a program to provide necessary support beyond normal working hours
• Actively engaged in developing specifications for electrical and life safety equipment and assist in FAT / SAT of related equipment as part of the new build-outs and later drive the commissioning effort of these systems
• Any other duties as assigned by your Supervisor/Manager

• Bachelor’s degree or a diploma in Electrical Engineering, preferably electrical

• At least 4 to 5 years of relevant work experience
• Hands-on experience in start-ups, commissioning & qualification of electrical and life safety systems
• Excellent team player willing to work for the common goal
