Job Description

At least 3 to 4 years of experience in a similar capacity in the construction industry.

• The Duty Engineer will be responsible for the efficient operations and delegations of work for the company\xe2\x80\x99s electrical department.

• He or she will assume the duties of the Chief Engineer during that person\xe2\x80\x99s absences. He or she will assist with scheduling, delegating work assignments, and inspect the completion of all work performed by subordinates and contractors.

• He or she will ensure health and safety policy compliance. He or she will approve material requisitions for work completion. He or she will complete all additional tasks as assigned by the Chief Engineer. This person is second in charge for the department.
  

• Assist the Project Director/Manager in the daily execution of work.

• Manage all tasks and Projects.

• Effective communication with internal team and highlight to specialist contractor to produce control logic.

• Coordinate with other department\'s counterparts to ensure their satisfaction on quality and progress.

• Ability to lead and manage subcontractors and suppliers.

• Provide guidance and manage the team. Supervisory experienced.

• Ability to multi-task in a fast paced and dynamic environment.

• Distribute the work to subordinates accordingly to their capabilities in order to get the best results to the specified standards.

• Create departmental training programmes among engineering employees and create opportunities to multitask.

• Supervise and control the preventive maintenance schedule.

• Responsible for the health safety of the property. Follow the preventive maintenance chart strictly and maintain records for future reference.
  

• Diploma or Post graduate Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering

• At least 4 years\xe2\x80\x99 relevant experience in the operation of MEP system, preferably in the construction industry

• Self-motivated with good organizational skills and ability to liaise with the relevant authorities.

• Ability to work independently and under pressure to ensure good site progress.

• Strong business acumen with strong analytical skills.

• Ability to read and interpret drawings.

• Check and develop electrical engineering on single line diagram, equipment selection, commissioning and handover of project.

• Check and review electrical and ELV design and shop/project drawing preparations and submissions

• Understand and carry out electrical voltage drop calculation, cable sizing etc.

• Understand DDC/SCADA system to monitor M&E equipment migration/replacement and troubleshooting

• Ability to point out critical areas and potential conflicts related to interfaces and project budgetary.
