The Electrical Fitter is responsible for assembling, installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical equipment, panels, and systems in accordance with engineering drawings and safety standards. The role involves both workshop and site work to ensure reliable and safe electrical operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Assemble and install electrical control panels, switchboards, and wiring systems.
Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
Connect and terminate cables, wires, and electrical components.
Test electrical assemblies for continuity, insulation, and functionality.
Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical faults and equipment failures.
Ensure all fittings and installations comply with electrical codes and safety standards.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical systems.
Support engineers and technicians in electrical installation and commissioning works.
Maintain proper documentation and update work progress reports.
Follow safety procedures and maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
Requirements:
NITEC / Higher NITEC / Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in electrical fitting or panel assembly.
Able to read and understand electrical drawings and circuit diagrams.
Knowledge of electrical safety regulations and standards.
Good teamwork, problem-solving, and communication skills.
