The Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer role entails executing preventive and corrective maintenance tasks for electrical and instrumentation systems, emphasizing safety and system integrity. This position plays a key role in reducing plant downtime through effective troubleshooting, maintenance, and systematic documentation.Job Responsibilities

• Preventive and Breakdown Maintenance: Implement and carry out both preventive and corrective maintenance for electrical and instrumentation systems, focusing on safety and minimizing downtime.
• Troubleshooting: Perform advanced troubleshooting of electrical and instrumentation issues, particularly with AC low voltage single phase and three-phase systems.
• Spare Management: Identify and maintain optimal levels of electrical spares and drives, manage backups of drive parameters to reduce operational interruptions.
• Documentation: Ensure meticulous documentation of maintenance procedures, risk assessments, Single Line Diagrams (SLD), and other related maintenance records.
• High Voltage Management: Collaborate with Professional Engineers (PE) to organize and conduct preventive maintenance for medium voltage (MV) and high voltage systems (up to 22kVA).
• Schematic Development: Understand and possibly develop electrical panel schematics as required to support troubleshooting and system enhancements.
• Technician Supervision: Guide and support technicians in troubleshooting various systems including ACMV, CCTV, access control, PA systems, as well as power and lighting.
• Specifications and Material Management: Keep electrical specifications, procedures, and drawings up to date. Manage consumables, parts, and spare units effectively.
• Emergency Response: Respond to and diagnose faults during breakdowns, ensuring issues are recorded and reported promptly.
• Service Review: Oversee the service, repair, and overhaul of equipment, ensuring documentation and reporting are up to standard.
• 5S Management: Manage routine 5S procedures at the maintenance workshop, store areas, and on-site work areas to ensure organization and safety.
• Stakeholder Communication: Communicate effectively with clients, consultants, project personnel, and relevant authorities to maintain project alignment and compliance.

• Education: Degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, or Maintenance Engineering.
• Experience: At least 3 years of experience in electrical engineering, particularly in environments such as chemical, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, or power plant operations.
• Skills: Strong electrical knowledge, with an ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Certifications: Possession of a Licensed Electrical Worker (LEW) certificate is advantageous.
• Knowledge: Proficient understanding of preventative maintenance systems and maintenance asset management.
• Attributes: Results-oriented, with robust technical abilities and strong problem-solving skills.
