About the Role
We are looking for an experienced APAC Regional Crisis Manager to support one of our premier clients - a leading global technology company - in an embedded role. You will lead crisis preparedness and response efforts across the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region.
You will design and deliver Crisis Management Training Programs across the region (both in-person and virtual) for Crisis Response Teams (CRTs), acting as a trusted advisor and crisis response lead within the client's organisation. In this role, you will help protect people, assets, and operations during critical events by leading the development of region-specific crisis response plans tailored to high-risk geographies and culturally nuanced operations. You will also lead on-the-ground and remote responses to natural disasters, infrastructure failures, civil unrest, and other emergent threats.
You'll work closely with cross-functional stakeholders from security, business continuity, communications, and executive leadership, ensuring a high level of preparedness and resilience tailored to the fast-paced, innovative environment of a global tech enterprise.
This is an on-site role based in the client's Singapore office, though there is flexibility for some remote work based on workload and priorities. The RCM team also operates a weekend "on-call" rotation, meaning occasional weekend work with time off in lieu. The position also involves domestic and international travel up to 50% of the time.
Responsibilities
  • Prepare:
  • Create and test drills, simulation exercises, and playbooks specific to APAC risks.
  • Develop high-quality materials to support regional crisis training and organisational readiness.
  • Conduct regular CRT capability reviews and post-incident assessments to drive continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate:
  • Partner with key business units and site leads to embed crisis readiness into business operations.
  • Build robust partnerships with public security authorities, emergency services, law enforcement, and multinational security councils.
  • Engage local leadership across APAC markets to ensure alignment with national contingency regulations.
  • Monitor regional threats and disruptions to proactively adjust preparedness and mitigation strategies.
  • Respond:
  • Serve as the primary crisis coordinator for regional and global escalations when incidents impact APAC operations.
  • Deliver clear and timely updates to senior executives and stakeholders, distilling complex information into actionable recommendations.
  • Facilitate effective coordination among cross-functional CRTs, government contacts, and vendor partners.
  • Communicate directly with employees during events, ensuring messages are localised, empathetic, and responsive to conditions.
  • Conduct comprehensive post-crisis reviews, track lessons learned and implement operational enhancements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Emergency Management, Risk Management, Security Studies, International Relations, or a related field; Master's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in crisis management, emergency response, or a related field within large-scale or multinational organisations.
  • Extensive operational knowledge of APAC-specific security risks and natural disasters (e.g., typhoons, earthquakes, tsunamis, volcanic eruptions, flooding, extreme heat).
  • Deep subject matter expertise in natural disaster forecasting, planning, and response, ranging from typhoons and tsunamis to seismic events and extreme weather.
  • Proven ability to assess regional risk profiles and anticipate cascading effects across high-density urban areas, remote locations, and cross-border operations.
  • Strong background in coordinating and maintaining relationships with government agencies, civil defence authorities, and private-sector security professionals across the region.
  • Strong understanding of geopolitical, infrastructure, and environmental risks across Southeast Asia, East Asia, South Asia, and the Pacific Islands.
  • Demonstrated experience leading crisis response and business continuity across diverse APAC geographies.
  • Familiarity with regional alerting systems, early-warning networks, and emergency coordination structures.
  • Advanced communication skills - both written and verbal - with fluency in clear executive briefings and employee-facing messaging.
  • Deep cultural competence across Asia-Pacific, proven operational leadership and ability to operate with diplomacy, tact, and local insight
  • Excellent judgment in high-pressure environments and strong ethical standards.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%, both domestically and internationally, including rapid deployment if needed.
