Undertake Technical Due Diligence on a variety of renewable energy technologies including wind, solar, hydrogen, energy storage, interconnectors, geothermal, hydro and biomass for financial investors and/banks, providing clients with details of how technical risks can impact their projects.
Undertake energy strategy advisory work on energy transition and low carbon solutions, including grid modelling, business cases assessment and market analysis.
Undertake feasibility studies and early stage design in the wind (onshore/offshore) and solar sectors.
Execute consulting engagements, which include coordinating with cross-discipline teams to develop bespoke solutions for clients.
Take responsibility for effective project management and participate in knowledge sharing to support the development of other team members.
What will I bring?
At least 3 to 5 years of experience in the development and execution of low carbon and renewable energy projects, with a strong technical background.
Relevant engineering/technical degree or equivalent and will preferably be developing a Professional qualification in a recognised institution in the field of engineering.
A solid track record of delivering technical M&A and pre-lend due diligence studies for financial investors and/or banks, and a robust understanding of how technical risks can impact the commercial drivers of a deal.
Experience of undertaking feasibilities for onshore and offshore wind, solar, hydrogen, energy storage, hydro and/or geothermal projects as well as experience of working with clients and assisting business development.
The ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels in both technical and non technical environments.
