Build a model of the transmission grid to support connection and location options for new power generation sites
Perform modeling and data analysis to understand and optimise power system operations
Identify least-cost options for microgrids or other distributed generation electrical power system
Identify sites with most advantageous for new projects
Develop strategies for energy storage and dispatch leveraging multiple revenue streams in the market
Determine the optimal size of energy storage against grid requirements and intermittency of renewable energy generators.
Model plant degradation and augmentation or replacement strategies to minimize ongoing expenses and maximize revenue.
Analyze power purchase agreements, wholesale energy markets, ancillary services, etc to maximise revenue through optimized dispatch and stacked revenue streams.
Demonstrate the value of the proposed solution(s) to the various stakeholders.
Engage in system level facility sizing of Utilities, Switchgear, UPS/DC Power Plant, PDUs, mechanical cooling and LV distribution.
Support engineering activities during business or project development including but not limited to pre-feasibility/ feasibility studies, technical due diligence, cost estimation, site survey, technical proposal to customer, project / EPC scoping strategy, vendor selection and review, determine LCOE, budgetary quotation review and clarifications, and all related technical support and solutions etc.
Evaluation of new technology and innovation solutions.
Participate in engineering activities during project execution including but not limited to preparation of Scope of Work / Design Memorandum / Minimum Functional Specification, tender review on technical proposals and clarifications, attend site queries and site installation issues that related to design, pre-commissioning, testing and commissioning, PSSR etc.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Electrical engineering discipline or equivalent
At least 10-15 years of experience in energy business related engineering management.
Experience in renewable energy projects is preferred.
Good command with multiple energy resource simulation and optimisation tools, and network modelling and analysis is preferred.
