Job Description
This is the for a position within SJ Energy & Industrial division\xe2\x80\x99s industrial parks transformation consultancy practice. Successful applicants will be part of a multi-disciplinary team helping clients around the world achieve energy transition and decarbonization (\xe2\x80\x9cET/DC\xe2\x80\x9d), sustainable industry and economic development outcomes, through sustainable and resilient industrial clusters that embrace ESG and smart principles.
Roles & Responsibilities:
This position will focus on delivering projects that comprise:
- Energy transition planning consultancy works at the industrial park / cluster level. This entails: (i) translating our energy transition specialists\xe2\x80\x99 energy mix or asset decarbonisation models into an industrial park ET/DC roadmap; and (ii) developing strategic recommendations on how to capture new busines opportunities, and what business models are most relevant; and (iii) working closely with our industrial land and infrastructure planning teams to master plan the industrial park\xe2\x80\x99s transformation.
- Park management conceptualisation and development consultancy works at the industrial park / cluster level. For example, reviewing industrial park processes and IT systems so as to develop a data strategy and high-level system architecture (including working with partners to develop user requirements for an Integrated Command Centre).
Understanding of ET/DC fundamentals, and past experience in projects that may have involved GHG accounting or renewables resource assessment or energy efficiency or heat integration or industrial solutions technology scanning and assessment / prioritisation or new energies planning and development, etc.
Familiarity with the digitalisation consultancy, having been part of a team undertaking similar industrial projects in the past.
Familiarity in working with renewables engineers and industrial land planners would be favourable.
Proficiency in PowerPoint and language abilities (English and business Mandarin); not afraid to present to and engage senior corporate executives.
Some knowledge and interest in understanding regional electricity market regulations, stakeholders engagement such as cold-calling / outreach, economic advisory, and simple financial modelling (discounted cashflow spreadsheet management) would be an added advantage.
3 to 5 years of relevant work experience; willing to travel and spend a few weeks on business travel; growth mindset, positive attitude, and generally agreeable and supportive.
