Job Description

Main Duties and Responsibilities Performing and completing scheduled preventive maintenance jobs for biomedical and scientific equipment by following manufacturer's instructions and checklist. Troubleshooting and repairing breakdowns jobs for biomedical and scientific equipment by following manufacturer's instructions. Liaising with user department, biomedical and scientific equipment vendors to ensure scheduled preventive maintenance and breakdown jobs for biomedical and scientific equipment under service contract are completed within KPI or reasonable timeframe with justification provided. Liaising with biomedical and scientific equipment vendors on commissioning jobs and ensuring newly purchased biomedical and scientific equipment are functioning according and within manufacturer's specifications. Troubleshooting and assisting user department on NGEMR related issues for biomedical and scientific equipment. Placing and expediting parts orders for breakdowns jobs. Ensuring scheduled preventive maintenance and breakdowns jobs for team are completed within KPI or reasonable timeframe with justification provided. Liaising with user department, biomedical and scientific equipment vendors ensuring impact to user's operations are minimized. Assisting user department on their biomedical and scientific equipment inventory. Preparing reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends on biomedical and scientific equipment for both BME and user department. Participating and providing technical inputs from BME department's perspective in projects, meetings, discussions with various users and departments. Liaising with users and purchasing department on the requirements and drafting of technical specifications for procurement of new biomedical and scientific equipment. Participating and providing technical inputs from BME department's perspective in evaluation and procurement of biomedical and scientific equipment. Providing support and technical decision guidance to technical officers on communications skill, issues resolutions and customer services. Attending technical training on biomedical and scientific equipment arranged by Training Coordinator. Knowledge in IT, Cybersecurity and EMR Integration related matters for biomedical and scientific equipment. Requirements Engineering Degree + 2 years working experience or Engineering Diploma + 9 years working experience or Engineering NITEC (National Institute of Technical Education Certificate) + 14 years working experience. Fresh graduate with Engineering Degree may also be considered. Must possess a technical knowledge and in-depth know how to handle difficult technical problems and independently work on maintenance and projects activities. Knowledge in EMR Integration for biomedical and scientific equipment , drafting technical specification for biomedical and scientific equipment and evaluation and procurement of biomedical and scientific equipment will be an advantage.
