JOB TITLE: ENGINEER, ENGINEERING & PROJECT, MFG SG SPE

ORG UNIT NAME: SPECIALTIES

LOCATION: SINGAPORE BENOI OFFICE

JOB PURPOSE

Perform all activities associated with mechanical design and engineering for Polymer and compounding plant and close interaction with project teams.

Determine project specifications by studying project design, operation requirements and performance standard.

Completes technical studies and technical review bids from contractor and prepare cost estimates.

Support system work such as project approval in SAP, create WBS and Purchase Requisition (PR)

JOB RESPONSIBILITES

  • Foster a safety culture in all P&E project execution and ensure 100% compliance safety requirement, including contractors and visitors
  • Proactively support and participate in site EHSS activities ( e.g. Training, MOC, PSSR & PHA, Identification of hazards and unsafe conditions)
  • Led one of the site OMS element as an Element Administrator
  • Conduct and manage contractor safety orientation and supervision when necessary.
  • Responsible for all technical and engineering aspects of the assigned projects. Develop project scope, Plan, schedule, and manage all the technical tasks of the assigned project to assure accuracy, proper resources, and quality from start to finish.
  • Mechanical project engineer to develop, execute and manage site engineering projects to create or improve for the mechanical systems.
  • Coordinate internal resources, 3rd party vendors/ contractors during projects installation to ensure flawless execution of the project
  • All the engineering activities to execute in compliance with company guidelines i.e. mechanical integrity, SABIC Engineering Standards & EHSS requirements.
  • Devised overall strategy for documentation and identified design set plan for each stages including as built design. Keep plant civil and mechanical documents in order.
  • Responsible to create the instructions necessary for systems to function. This includes manufacturing maintenance procedures, trainings and system handover to operation.
  • Support for the closing of the projects and asset tagging return balance funding to IM module in SAP
  • Responsible for the quality assurance during project execution, supervise work processes so the final project outcomes meet the expected requirements for quality with industry standard or regulations. Develop Engineering QA processes to identify potential errors or defects throughout project execution. Develop risk assessment and FMEA for the equipment/ project
  • Analyze the project status and when necessary revise the scope, schedule or budget to ensure the project requirements can be met. Report the project progress to the management.
  • Report project outcomes and/or risks during project execution and escalate issues to project team as necessary according to project work plan
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • Master / Bachelor\'s degree in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering preferred) from a reputable university with 5 years\' relevant work experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong project management, planning and coordination skills
  • Excellent knowledge about mechanical rotary, stationary equipment, piping and polymer compounding equipment.
  • Good knowledge on auto CAD, Design & analytical skills, pneumatic and hydraulic system
  • Good knowledge of office software and experience with Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and thermodynamics
