Essential Duties

and

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct in-process and toolroom audit of all DV molds at the manufacturing facility of local suppliers.

a) In-process audit to review Mold Approval (MA) molding parameters for consistent molded part quality, and proper operation of our mold in supplier\xe2\x80\x99s production facility.

b) Toolroom audit to review our mold is properly maintained per our specification requirements and assess the functional conditions of the mold. Verify sufficient spare tooling inventory maintained by the supplier.

c) Provide technical feedback and recommendation to supplier.

d) Develop, maintain a Mold Audit plan for local molders. Perform audit per the plan

2. Review for new mold design, and mold modification proposal.

a) Engage RL/APAC mold engineering team as needed.

b) Manage and maintain local DV Mold database, and mold prints.

c) To control mold ID so that molded part is tracible to each of our molds.

d) Change control owner of MA for all DV supplier molded parts for our plants.

3. Mold Transfer

a) Advice procurement the techncial capability of the suppliers as needed.

b) Identify opportunities for VIP.

c) Verify tooling spares and mold conditions.

4. Raise CER for all DV molds as needed.

a) Work with procurement to raise PO for mold fabrication, and mold modification.

b) Support mold and the auxilliary equipment scrap activity.

5. Mold capacity analysis

a) To provide mold capacity analysis based on molded part volume forecast provided by the planning team using the established standardized mold capacity formula, and machine allocations by the procurement team.

6. Mold process

a. To maintain high stability of molding process and quality output of molded parts to fulfill the supply of molded part required by the plants.

7. Mold equipment

a. To maintain equipement OEE performance to the required standard to ensure supply of molded part to our plants are fulfilled

b. To maintain skill of technician to sustain required standard and quality of mold equipment maintenance and performance

8. Miscelleneous functions

a) Lead and train team on the mold skill set to ensure competency and relevancy to industry standard and requirement

b) Attended monthly molding supplier performance reviews.

c) Review Mold Maintenance Quarterly Report and recommend action plan for molds.

d) Review monthly molding performance and recommend improvements.

e) Provide technical input for New Mold construction / management and Support MA for all new molds, new molded parts implementation, molded part design change, mold modification, and material change.

f) Address all molding technical issues spanning local and overseas molders

g) Work with QM to review mold and molding process related issues.

h) New molded product or projection implementation at local supplier facility.

9. Responsible for compliance to EHS procedure and requirement.

Qualifications/ Education:

\xc2\xb7 Degree/ Diploma in Materials/ Mechanical/ Production Engineering or equivalent

Skill Set and/or Experience:

\xc2\xb7 Degree with Min 8 years/ Diploma 10 years of experience in Plastics Injection Molding

\xc2\xb7 Strong in analytical and troubleshooting skills

\xc2\xb7 Good knowledge of project management skills

\xc2\xb7 Good understanding of technical drawing and tolerances analysis capabilities

\xc2\xb7 Good leadership skill & strong team player
