What the role is:The Engineer / Lead Engineer of AI & Digital Solutions Certification will be part of a dynamic team that develops and maintains a framework and process for evaluating and certifying AI and digital solutions. He/she will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, compliance and reliability of AI and digital solutions developed internally or sourced from external vendors, enabling rapid access and seamless deployment of compliant solutions for Home Team use.What you will be working on:

• Establish robust processes for evaluating AI and Digital products. This includes creating assessment frameworks, checklists, and evaluation methodologies. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify technical requirements * Evaluate AI and digital solutions from vendors and internal product development and project teams, and ensure solutions meet operational deployment standards, including data privacy and security regulations * Establish and maintain a central repository of certified solutions, including documentation and technical specifications * Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging AI and digital technologies, contributing to the development of new certification programs * Regularly review and update criteria based on industry advancements and organizational needs.

What we are looking for:

• Postgraduate / Tertiary qualification in computer science, engineering, information systems or other quantitative/ analytical fields. * Proven experience in AI and digital solutions development, implementation, and evaluation * Strong understanding of AI concepts, machine learning, and deep learning * Experience working with internal stakeholders to identify technical requirements * Experience in delivering software quality projects and familiarity with industry certification standards for digital products * Familiarity with cloud-based AI platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure), agile project and product management methodologies, AI ethics and responsible AI practices * Having domain knowledge in Homeland Security sector will be an added bonus * Applicants with more than 5 years\' relevant experience will be considered for more senior positions All new hires are appointed on a two-year contract in the first instance and will be assessed and considered for permanent tenure over time, based on performance.
