ROLE SUMMARY
Our Client is seeking a proactive Engineer / Senior Engineer - Cloud Security & Operations. You will be responsible for maintaining and securing our cloud environment, supporting incident response, and collaborating with stakeholders to strengthen our security posture
RESPONSIBILITIES

• Monitor and maintain security systems: firewalls, AV, IDS/IPS, and related tools
• Assist with incident response: identify, investigate, and document security incidents
• Perform vulnerability scans and manage patching cycles
• Support security audits: collect logs and generate compliance reports
• Coordinate with vendors and stakeholders to resolve security issues
• Collaborate with IT teams to implement and enforce security controls
• Maintain clear and current documentation of security procedures and incidents
• Evaluate and test new security tools via Proof of Concept

• Diploma or degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 2-3 years of experience in cybersecurity operations or IT security maintenance
• Proficient with core security technologies: firewalls, AV, IDS/IPS
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities
• Capable of managing tasks independently and in a team environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Customer-service mindset with ability to engage stakeholders effectively
• Adaptable and eager to learn emerging security technologies

• Certifications in networking or security (e.g., CCNA, Security+, Cisco, Fortinet)
• Experience with endpoint protection platforms (Symantec, CrowdStrike)
• Familiarity with SIEM or vulnerability scanning tools (e.g., Tenable, Splunk)
• Exposure to cloud-native security services (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Experience with VMware NSX or other virtualization/security platforms
