About the Role

We are seeking an Engineer to lead the end-to-end engineering lifecycle -- from interpreting technical drawings to job firming and material sourcing. In this role, you will be responsible for generating detailed Bills of Materials (BOMs) and production process plans within the ERP system, ensuring that all job release packages are complete, accurate, and fully aligned with customer specifications and manufacturing capabilities.


You will act as a key technical liaison, responding to inquiries and working closely with the Business and Supply Chain teams to evaluate and recommend appropriate materials. This role demands a high level of cross-functional collaboration, sound technical judgment, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement and operational precision.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Drawing Interpretation and Production Planning

Interpret drawings and understand customers' requirement. Generate Bill of Materials (BOM) from customers' drawing and requirement. Generate Production Process Planning on ERP. Prepare Production drawings.

Support Job Firming and Release

Prepare and submit complete job release packages, including accurate BOMs, routing steps, and production drawings, in alignment with customer requirements and internal manufacturing capabilities.

Materials Sourcing (Supply Chain Coordination)

Respond to technical inquiries from customers and collaborate with the Supply Chain team to evaluate and recommend suitable material options based on specifications and availability. Assist in Engineering related projects as assigned by supervisor.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Minimum Polytechnic Diploma in Engineering (Advanced & Digital Manufacturing, Mechanical, Mechatronics) Minimum one year of experience in a

high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment

. Basic understanding of machine operations such as milling, turning, drilling and grinding. Knowledge about the capabilities of machines like CNC machines, lathes, milling, and grinding equipment.

Preferred Qualifications

WSQ Diploma in Precision Engineering (Master Craftsman Skills)

Preferred Experience and Attributes

Hands-on experience with CNC machining and machine measurement tools.

Receptive to feedback and a willingness to learn and adapt as part of a continuous improvement culture. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions. Prior experience working in a matrix management structure, with demonstrated ability to coordinate and align with colleagues from multiple departments (e.g., Business, Production, Quality, Supply Chain).

Note: As part of your onboarding, you will undergo a comprehensive 6-month On-the-Job Training (OJT) on the production shopfloor. This immersive experience will give you valuable hands-on exposure, deepen your understanding of our operations, and prepare you for long-term success in your role.
