Legal Compliance, Legal Matters, Compliance to Policies and SOPs

Ensure Legal Compliance of all existing policies and procedures to local Singapore law Ensure Compliance to Companies' Policies and Standard Operating Procedures Conformance to Existing SOPs and Suggest Areas of Improvement.

Construction Management

Detect resource problem and report to Project Engineer/Project Manager Feedback all Variation order (VO) to Quantity Surveyors for their follow up action. Responsible to create special task force for critical / emergency assignments Ensure strict works/schedule conformance to contractual specifications during construction, before handover & during maintenance period if any. Assist the Project Engineer on the day to day operation of the site. Co-ordination of structural drawings with architectural and M&E drawings, highlighting discrepancies between drawings. Supervise the work of the structural sub-contractors. Monitor and control the progress of R.C. works based on schedule. To co-ordinate works between sub-contractors so as to achieve the target schedules. Check on quality of materials and workmanship by ensuring correct use of materials. Check the portion of structural work and arrange for inspection. Accompany the clerk of work for inspection. Update the Structural work progress on color chart. Attend the weekly work progress meeting Undertake any other duties that may be assigned from time to time by the Project Manager. Night duties to supervise concreting will be on rotational basis. Responsible for preparation of shop drawings, data or other type of drawings as assigned from time to time. Drawings have to match requirements of on-going projects and/or tender specifications. Assist in preparation of drawings for submission in tender preparation. Space planning, carry out conceptualize design and generate perspective drawings. Meet with consultants/clients/sub-contractors/Project Managers to understand requirements. To work out quantities from shop drawings. To prepare cutting list. Other ad-hoc drafting duties as assigned.

Compliance of Quality Management System & ISO

Drive effective implementation and maintenance of the Quality Management System Formulate and implement methods on quality control of materials used and workmanship Ensure a system of non-compliance at all times including that during External Quality Audit and ensure timely corrective actions and proper close-up.

Operations & Cost Cutting Measures

Suggest Potential Measures for Cost Cutting in all Operational Areas. Target to have minimum re-work and material wastage Target for Optimum utilization of Manpower resources and reduction in OT

Employee Engagement & Innovative Initiatives

Initiate meetings with Departmental Heads to identify gaps and work out solutions in conjunction with the Department Heads. Actively Participate in initiatives as launched by MD, HR or other Departments

Grievance Handling

Act as a conduit to employees by listening to their feedback and responding appropriately.

Performance Culture , Training and Development

Ensure all Direct / Indirect Reportees have adequate people management skills & technical skills to manage their works Facilitate Training Need Identification from the project teams & HQ to fill in the gaps

HSE Compliance

Drive the team to Comply to HSE norms

Any Other Duties

Any other duties /responsibilities as assigned by the Management.
