Company Description

Sofitel Singapore City Centre, an iconic hotel which opens in October 2017 will form part of a mixed-use development at Tanjong Pagar Centre, a multi-billion dollar development, which will become Singapore\xe2\x80\x99s tallest building at 290 meters set around landscaped parkland and direct MRT station access.

The 223-room Sofitel Singapore City Centre will offer chic designed rooms, 4 Food and Beverage options, a ballroom, and several meeting rooms, fitness and pool facilities.


  • Assist the Assistant Chief Engineer and/or Maintenance Officer to issue Work Orders / HotSOS to Duty Engineers and Technicians.
  • Follow up and checks reason of outstanding work orders.
  • To compile all hardcopies of Daily Activities, Meter Readings and Maintenance Report and transfer in engineering e-folder.
  • Preparation and submission of Monthly Maintenance and Utilities Report.
  • Check the work load and efficiency of various sections.
  • Solicits feedback from the Team members on daily operations.
  • To provide suggestion for the continuous improvement of the system.
  • To monitor and update Maintenance Schedule for both in-house Engineering Team and outsource Contractors on daily basis.
  • Ensure Duty Personnel and Vendors carry out the Room Preventive Maintenance (RPM) and the Periodic Plant Maintenance (PPM) works according to the scheme and schedule.
  • Filing of Vendor\xe2\x80\x99s Service Reports, Invoices and other documents.
  • To assist Chief Engineer, Assistant Chief Engineer and/or Maintenance Officer on Licensing and Maintenance Contracts expiry and renewal.
  • To participate on the Energy Conservation Programme and Planet 21 activities.
  • To upkeep on Utilities Records.
  • To assist Assistant Chief Engineer and/or Maintenance Officer to liaise with Service Providers on abnormalities on their services i.e. Telco, Utilities etc
  • Coordinates as Engineering Support as required in hotel Operation and Emergency procedures.
  • Coordinates Engineering Activities as per procedures.
  • To assist Duty Engineers to ensures that Engineering Supplies and Parts are adequately stock.
  • Liaising with Vendors on Engineering Supplies and Parts required monthly.
  • Issues Requisition Form (PR) for purchase of spare parts.
  • Follow up on replacements of order.
  • Highlights on matters which require attention.
  • Participates in discussion within Engineering and inter-department.
  • Obtains feedback and comments from other departments.
  • Prepare Time Sheet in Time Software on Duty Roster, Attendance, Leaves and OT.
Qualifications
  • Ensure neat, clean and functionally operating department at all times.
  • Manage the Hotel\xe2\x80\x99s assets in all areas to protect their long term investment value.
  • Maintain a register of all service equipment maintenance and breakages; ensure that regular programmed maintenance is carried out to manufacturers\xe2\x80\x99 specifications.
  • Report any loss or damage to Hotel, guests or ambassador assets on the appropriate incident report form.
  • Ensure confidentiality and secure storage of all intellectual property and data bases, both hard copy and electronic. Adhere to company internet and email policy
  • Ensure hotel, guest and ambassador information or transactions are kept confidential during or after employment with the company.
