Job PurposeResponsible in coordinating and tracking for all maintenance related works on the railway tracks and infrastructure. To expeditiously locate, deploy resources and monitor track and tunnel/viaduct infrastructure fault recovery (including the third rail) and associated track features, ensuring minimum service disruption to the main line operation.ResponsibilitiesThe duties and responsibilities of Engineering Maintenance Manager are as listed below. Note that the list is not comprehensive and related duties and responsibilities may be assigned from time to time.To manage morale, standard of discipline in workTo expeditiously locate and deploy Maintenance Staff to incident site (mainline or depots) in the shortest possible time.Sense make the information gathered and decide the most effective and efficient approach in quick response to minimize impact to service and customer experience.To provide 2nd level engineering and technical advice, information, instructions to staff at incident site.To support track investigation during revenue and non-revenue hours.Ensure line staff provide timely fault and rectification details to IMCC.Provide daily report to Lead Controller on information related to fault and rectifications details, Repeat & Recur (RnR), Hot spot, Acceptable Defect Defer List (ADDL) and last but not least No Fault Found (NFF).To manage and follow up on LVDT deployment & activation.Overall management of TSR tracking and documentation to ensure TSRs accuracy.To compile Temporary Speed Restrictions (TSR) requests (lift/impose) and send out to relevant agencies on both daily and weekly basis TIM attention.To collate and do trending & analysis for Pway related issues.Informed OCC of any late request or cancellation for track possession upon informed by Pway in advance.To assist in coordination for taking over the track possession from the original scheduled party for urgent works that may impact to the revenue service the next day.Any other tasks identified during the course of operations.Qualifications & Work ExperiencePolytechnic diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent from a recognized institution with minimum 5 years\' experience as an Assistance Engineer or equivalent in related field.Able to work independently, multi task, communicate effectively and a good team player.Able to plan work schedule to cover all required works.With self- motivation, always striving to improve and meet a standard of excellence.SkillsPossess strong leadership, supervisory and interpersonal skills.Good technical writing skillsAble to communicate effectively in English and work in a team environment.SMRT Trains Ltd was incorporated in 1987 and operates Singapore\'s first mass rapid transit system.
