About the Team

You will be part of the Leadership team for Country Engineering for one or more of the countries' deployments, with expertise in backend core packet networks.

About the Role

As our Engineering Manager - Network, you will be responsible for the operations and maintenance, performance analysis, design & product implementation and QA based on business needs You will also be reverse engineering and troubleshooting complex application architecture from documentation and requirements baseline when available. Your responsibilities are as per below:-

• Lead and implement OCS & PCRF.
• Lead & Troubleshoot networking issues with PS/CS core systems and analyze traces
• Participate in solution design and development for expansion and rollout.
• Perform analysis and review applications being released into production.
• Lead & implement solutions on new technologies like 5G.
• Lead Installation of the patch and maintain OCS and PCRF Applications
• Define and execute Backup/Restoration procedures for disaster management
• Forecast and plan capacity for systems and storage on OCS/PCRF applications
• Support QA and Customer Support Teams for operations, testing, and customer

escalations * Analyse and improve the performance of OCS with the oracle database

• Assist the Country Operations Leadership team in the Development and Management of Programs affecting your domain and team

As Engineering Lead

• Owning the delivery of various timelines, ensuring that key milestones are met and deliveries are of the highest quality
• Work closely with Product and Business teams to understand Product requirements and Business Goals
• Leading and working closely with the Engineers to develop the best technical design and strategy, establishing various best practices for software development, and encouraging their adoption with the team and organisation
• Performing performance reviews and defining each individual's career paths to help them grow within the organization
• Excellent understanding of engineering Platforms & Business, Outcomes, Processes & Objectives.
• Excellent Communication skills (Data-driven) across multiple departments & stakeholders.
• Should have excellent debugging skills to resolve any critical issue & provide insights to the team to show the way forward.

• Strong team player who is ready to take end-to-end ownership of a POD across numerous areas (but not limited to) people management & hiring, product development & growth, team growth, customer happiness, and operations

Requirements

• Degree / Master in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent
• Ability to manage conflicting priorities in an objective manner
• Strong Design and Architectural experience in building variously highly-scalable and highly-available products (millions of consumers)
• Strong understanding of the SDLC Activities which include Analysis, Design, Development, Testing, Deployment, and Post-Production Support, etc.
• Strong people, management skills to lead and build a high-performing team
• Experience in Product Management and collaborating with Product teams and Managers
• Experience in a Product-based / Start-up environment highly advantageous
• 10+ years of Experience in a large-scale Network Operator in a multivendor environment

• Experience in all aspects of project implementation lifecycle charging/policy
• Minimum of Five (7) years hands on experience supporting OCS/PCRF applications with Tier-1 Telco/Vendor Experience. ITIL foundation certification will be a plus.
• Hands on experience on OCS/PCRF/SCP systems (Oracle ECE experience will be preferred)
• Experience with Diameter GX, GY, RO, SP, RX interfaces, signaling flows, and AAA protocol.
• Knowledge of GSM, INAP, CAP, SS7, SIGTRAN and IP networking protocols.
• Understanding of signaling flows for voice, data, SMS.
• Hands on experience of,core networks (GGSN/SGSN), Wireshark tracing and packet capture
• Ability to interface equally well with various levels of technical personnel, Application users, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and senior-level stakeholders as required.
