About the Role
As the Engineering Manager, you will lead and inspire a team of talented engineers to deliver robust, scalable, and innovative web and mobile solutions for our omni-channel e-commerce platform. You will be responsible for driving the technical vision, overseeing the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), and ensuring best practices in architecture, DevOps, and quality assurance. You will act as a gatekeeper for security by design, ensuring all solutions meet enterprise security standards. You will collaborate closely with product managers, business stakeholders, and vendors to deliver high-impact solutions that align with business goals and industry standards.
Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Own the end-to-end delivery of large-scale projects, ensuring timely execution, quality, and alignment with business objectives. Experience working with enterprise systems and large-scale projects is essential.
Drive the adoption of modern SDLC practices, including Gen-AI adoption, CI/CD pipelines, code reviews, and automated testing.
Architect and oversee the development of scalable microservices, web, and mobile applications (iOS/Android) using technologies such as React, Node.js, including payment technologies.
Be an expert in API and system-to-system integration, ensuring seamless connectivity across enterprise platforms.
Champion cloud DevOps processes (AWS, Azure, Jenkins, Docker) and ensure robust infrastructure, monitoring, and security practices.
Act as a gatekeeper for security by design, ensuring all solutions comply with enterprise security policies and best practices.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, QA, UX/UI, Infra) and business stakeholders to manage dependencies, risks, and release planning.
Experience with Adobe Commerce, AEM, AA, AT stack is an advantage.
Report on team performance, project status, and key metrics to senior management.
Stay up to date on innovative applications of digital technology, brainstorm and communicate new technologies with management.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
8+ years of hands-on technical experience, with at least 3+ years in engineering management or technical leadership roles.
Proven experience managing and scaling engineering teams in a fast-paced, enterprise-level e-commerce or technology-driven environment.
Strong expertise in SDLC, Gen-AI in SDLC, CI/CD, microservices, React, web and mobile technologies.
Deep understanding and hands-on experience in API and system-to-system integration.
Demonstrated experience as a gatekeeper for security by design in enterprise environments.
Strong background in cloud DevOps processes (AWS, Azure, Jenkins, Docker, code review tools).
Experience with Adobe Commerce, AEM, AA, AT stack is an advantage.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management tools (JIRA, Confluence, etc.).
Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems, drive technical excellence, and deliver results.
