About our group:
We are the (FA) Failure Analysis group in Media Research & Development which involves identifying and understanding the causes of failures in recording media by utilizing the Microscope, Candela & AFM to identify the root cause of the failure. Follow up on generating failure analysis report to the relevant process groups, sending rejects to MSL (Material Science Lab) for in-depth analysis on the defects found. About the role - you will:

• Perform FA thru Candela, Microscope & AFM to understand the root cause of the failure.
• Follow-up with updating of report and alert the relevant process via email (Event notification).

• Submit disk to MSL (Material Science Lab) for further analysis.
• Raise DMR, clear reject disk, print DMR & push to warehouse for scrap.
• Perform task assigned by Engineers on ad-hoc basis.
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas
• Assist Engineers for yield improvement projects.

About you:

• Must be a task-oriented person and is able to work under stress.
• Must be a team player & a good listener.
• Must prepare to work on his/her own under certain circumstances.
• Must be able to work in rotating 12 hours shift & perform overtime as and when necessary.

Your experience includes:

• Develpo strong technical skills in your chosen engineering field
• Proficicency in relevant software, understanding of engineering principles and hands-on technical abilities

Our Woodlands site is one of the largest electronics manufacturing sites in Singapore, housing our recording media operations. Spread over three sites, it is easily accessible via bus or from the MRT Station, with many employees taking mass transportation to work.
