About our group:

The Launch HAMR VTS lab plays a crucial role in Seagate\'s media electrical testing, failure analysis, and characterization processes. We are committed to providing comprehensive support for daily VTS testing on sample disks, ensuring the generation of accurate data and assisting engineers in evaluating test results.

About the role - you will:

• Support day/night shift VTS media testing operations
• Perform hands-on loading of heads and media and operate VTS testers for electrical testing
• Analyze electrical data to ensure test repeatability and measurement accuracy, compiling reports for distribution to Fremont and Woodlands teams
• Upload test data to the server and maintain data integrity
• Collaborate closely with engineers to prioritize tasks and troubleshoot basic tester issues
• Perform any other duties or responsibilities assigned by immediate supervisors or management

About you:

• A dedicated team player with a positive attitude and self-initiative
• Willingness to work permanent 12-hour day/night shifts and overtime when required
• Comfortable working in a cleanroom environment, including wearing jumpsuits

Your experience includes:

• Previous experience in troubleshooting and failure analysis
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with knowledge of QSR/EHS/5S protocols
• Preferred candidates with experience in laboratory settings or the semiconductor/hard disk drive industry, especially with previous VTS testing experience

Location:

Our Woodlands site is one of the largest electronics manufacturing sites in Singapore, housing our recording media operations. Spread over three sites, it is easily accessible via bus or from the MRT Station, with many employees taking mass transportation to work.
