Job Description

• Working days - 5 days
• Operation hours: Mon & Fri: 4 pm to 9.30 pm | Wed: 2 pm to 6 pm | Sat & Sun: 8.30 am to 6.30 pm (*one of the weekends will be a shorter day)
• Salary: SGD 2,800 - SGD 4,500
• Location: King Albert Park MRT // Serangoon MRT
• Full-time position with semi-flexi work hours (WFH & Office basis)

Job Responsibilities

1. Curriculum Design

• Create valid, effective learning materials (including Lesson Units, Modules & Programmes) aligned with the MOE Syllabus, and integrated with current affairs and scaffolding strategies to help students acquire and develop a variety of language and thinking skills

2. Assessment Feedback

• Design level-appropriate, valid and varied student-centered assessment to check on students\' understanding
• Provide timely, accurate feedback to students based on the Principles of Giving Effective Feedback and recommend actionable steps for their Areas for Improvement (AFIs)
• Encourage students to actively take follow-up actions on their AFIs

3. Pedagogy

• Deliver valid, effective and interesting lessons based on the Teaching Methodology to raise student engagement and achieve learning outcomes
• Use a wide variety of teaching techniques, time management and grouping strategies for lesson delivery
• Employ effective questioning techniques to raise students\' awareness, check on their understanding or scaffold their thinking
• Create a conducive learning environment to maximize quality learning of students with different abilities
• Address differentiated learning needs of students during lessons (e.g., a more experienced EE student vs. a student who has just joined our programme)

4. Student Management

• Plan and deliver English composition writing and English language lessons in accordance with the Company\'s guidelines and framework to achieve desired learning outcomes.
• Create a safe, conducive learning environment by maintaining discipline and order in class
• Motivate students through establishing a conducive classroom climate and skillfully reinforcing positive behavior with positive praise and affirmations
• Establish strong rapport with students through showing concern, acknowledging and encouraging students
• Monitor the progress / performance of students consistently through the Student Monitoring System (SMS) and provide timely, effective guidance & support to students through appropriate intervention strategies (e.g. basic counselling, prep talk)

5. Working as a Team

• Contribute actively to the implementation of Company initiatives and duties based on the Company\'s Strategic Thrusts (Direction) and Goals (e.g. design and deliver e-lessons, create content posts for social media, carry out Diagnostic Consult Assessment (DCA) sessions)
• Work with / Lead a Project Team in the implementation of company-wide initiatives and duties which will bring about school effectiveness and development.

Requirements:

• Possess at least a Poly Diploma or Bachelor\'s Degree Qualification from a recognized education institute
• Prior experience in tutoring / teaching will be a plus point
• Familiar with Canva / Adobe Photoshop, Facebook / Instagram / Tik Tok is a plus point
• Familiar with Microsoft Office (Words & PowerPoint), Keynote, Zoom, Trello is a plus point
