Job Description
Are you passionate about teaching primary and secondary school students AND know your way around technology? If the answer is YES, then WE want you! Write Edge is looking for like-minded people to join us as Specialist English and Writing Teachers for our online arm.
As a Specialist English and Writing Teacher for the online arm, you will:
- Teach online classes with small group sizes of up to 8 students, based on our teaching materials
- Assist with simple curriculum edits or other projects
- Assist to create slides or other engagement tools
- Make announcements to parents and provide updates
- Assist with lesson preparation for digital classrooms
- Can communicate in English proficiently
- Scored a minimum of B3 for English Language for O Levels / A Levels
- Are familiar with Zoom and the Google suite of services (Drive, Docs, Sheets, Forms, etc.)
- Have a fun and engaging teaching style and can conduct a 2-hour lesson with consistent enthusiasm and energy
- Have a great aptitude for teaching and are nurturing towards children
- Are responsible with a strong work ethic
- Have a conducive environment in which to conduct online lessons (a well-lit room with a plain wall/background, a laptop with a working camera and microphone, and a strong, stable internet connection)
- Preferably hold prior teaching experience
Depending on business needs, you may be required to conduct physical classes at the branches if there is no uptake of students for the online classes you are assigned to.
Location(s):
Teach online classes at the Tampines office every Friday, but work from home the rest of the week
*Will still be required to be present on-site for training and other events if necessary.
Working hours:
4 weekdays and 1 weekend
Centres\' Operating Hours:
2023:
Weekdays: 1pm - 10pm
Weekend: 830am - 630pm
