English Teacher (Pre-school)

Salary: Up to $4500 + Comprehensive Benefits Package

Job Scope:

Nurture, Respect and Value each child's social, cultural and religious background and by example, provide mutual respect and tolerance. Oversee the pastoral care, health, welfare and behaviour of all pupils and in particular, those within your designated class group. Perform your teaching duties in accordance with the school's agreed policies and guidelines. Provide planning documents identifying specific learning objectives, differentiated tasks, special needs, extension and assessment, to the Principal or other authorized officer, using a variety of appropriate teaching and caring methods to ensure high quality learning takes place. Encourage, Nurture and Guide children to take pride in their own environment and show respect and concern for others as part of a caring community. Maintain professionalism and confidentiality amongst the team Ensure the provision of equal opportunities for all. Be responsible for all aspects of classroom management eg. Care of equipment with resources well-labelled and accessible, while maintaining a tidy, well organised room. Promote independent learning by creating an interesting and lively classroom Collaborate, develop and keep records of effective pupil assessment procedures, modern portfolios and records of achievement for each child in class, with the Principal and staff. Build positive links between yourself and parents of children in your care.

Requirements

Minimum Diploma/Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood or Education or equivalent At least 2 - 5 years relevant professional teaching experience in early childhood; Knowledge of or willingness to acquire knowledge of inquiry based learning is a MUST. L2 Certificate
