What the role is:

ISD confronts and addresses threats to Singapore\'s internal security and stability. For over 75 years, ISD and its predecessor organisations have played a central role in countering threats such as those posed by foreign subversive elements, spies, racial and religious extremists, and terrorists. As an Enterprise Infrastructure Specialist, you will be part of a dynamic team to build and support optimized enterprise environments using the latest technological tools and methods. You will be involved in the conceptualization, strategizing, design and deployment of Cloud (Public / Private / Hybrid) solutions, PaaS and virtualization technologies. You will have opportunities to experience the full of ICT transformation spectrum. In addition, you will participate in providing consultancy to projects involving new infrastructure implementation.

What you will be working on:

• Design and manage technically advanced enterprise infrastructure \xe2\x80\xa2 Evaluate new tools and deploy advance strategies to achieve performance tuning and resiliency. \xe2\x80\xa2 Orchestrate and automate operating system upgrades and changes \xe2\x80\xa2 Participate in problem solving on issues related to data centre and achieve timely resolutions \xe2\x80\xa2 Coordinate with various parties (e.g. departments and vendors) to integrate critical systems and projects.

What we are looking for:

• Degree or diploma in Info-communications, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related fields, or equivalent competencies will be preferred \xe2\x80\xa2 Good interpersonal and communication skills \xe2\x80\xa2 Strong analytical skills and able to solve or analyse problems in a systematic manner \xe2\x80\xa2 Able to work both independently and in a team \xe2\x80\xa2 Relevant work experience and/or knowledge in Data Centre technologies (e.g. Windows Server, SAN/NAS storage technologies, data backup strategies), cloud technologies (e.g. Microsoft, RedHat, VMware and Hyper V Virtualisation environments) would be advantageous. \xe2\x80\xa2 Only Singaporeans need apply We wish to inform that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
