What the role is:You will play a key role in driving productivity amid environmental sustainability in EIA/EMMP projects. You will also provide environmental advisory support to from design phase to pre-construction phase (e.g. scoping and reviewing of EIA, reviewing of environmental plans, conducting site audits, and coordinating with regulatory agencies and stakeholders like Nature Groups and interested members of public) as well as provide inputs to environmental and sustainability-related initiatives and proposals. You are required to build competency and enhance the environmental and sustainability awareness of our staff and stakeholders through conducting sharing.The role of the Senior Environmental Project Manager/ Environmental Project Manager is to support SFA\'s mission of providing a safe and secure food supply for Singapore by optimising the use of land and sea spaces allocated to the agency for local agri-food production in an environmentally sustainable and compliant manner.The work entails working in tandem with the master planning team for land and sea spaces to plan, execute and manage agriculture and aquaculture projects which have an environmental component. These may include long term master plans or specific development projects for agriculture and aquaculture, which may involve planning and developing the core production spaces and any supporting uses (shared facilities, utility infrastructure, transport network, integration with green and blue areas, etc.) necessary to create a robust and business friendly eco-system of food producers and other parties responsible for Singapore\'s food supply.The work involves planning, coordinating and carrying out the procurement of Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and the zonal Environmental Monitoring and Management Plan (EMMP) studies, coordinating across the various internal SFA Divisions, managing appointed consultants, ensuring timely delivery of studies, facilitating clearances and planning/ development approvals with government agencies. In addition, the project manager also plans, executes and manages nature groups and other stakeholder engagements and works closely with the media and communications team to deliver positive media and communications plans and pre-empt contentious groups and issues.The role includes keeping abreast of agriculture and aquaculture industry needs, trends of planning and development, range of EIA projects in Singapore (public and private sector), evolvement of nature groups and other stakeholders and the engagements and communications carried out by other public sector development agencies for EIAs & EMMPs especially.DutiesYou will:
