:POSITION SUMMARYSpecialist shall serve as the central point of contact ensuring compliance with GOS regulations, DOD policies, OEBGD, OPNAV M-5090.1 series, and references listed in J-1800000-02.RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for manifesting and trafficking of hazardous waste materials.
• Responsible for acting as central point of contact to various agencies.
• Responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable GOS regulations, DOD Policies, OEBGD, OPNAV M-5090.1 series, and references in the applicable annexes.
• Maintain intimate knowledge of local and U.S. hazardous waste regulations and hazardous substances transportation knowledge.
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• Associate\xe2\x80\x99s Degree or equivalent specializing in Environmental Science based on a two-year course of study from a U.S., U.K. or Singapore equivalent accredited college or university, or be approved by the Government Environmental Office.
• The Specialist shall have at least five years of experience as an Environmental Protection Specialist, or work in a closely related field, knowledgeable in U.S. and Singaporean environmental and regulatory requirements.
• The Specialist shall be certified and licensed to sign manifests and perform eTracking of Hazardous Waste (HW) and Hazardous Material (HM).

WORKING CONDITIONSWork is typically based in a busy office environment and subject to frequent interruptions. Business work hours are Monday-Friday standard core hours, however some extended or weekend hours may be required.
