:The Job:

• Routine Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance on a variety of port equipment, including cranes and heavy lifting machinery.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues related to mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic control systems. Expertise in troubleshooting motor controls, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and PLCs is required.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance. Prepare and submit detailed reports as necessary.
• Safety Compliance: Ensure maintenance and repair work adheres to safety regulations and industry standards. Participate in safety audits and training sessions.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with technical staff and other departments to coordinate maintenance schedules and resolve equipment issues efficiently.
• Continuous Improvement: Suggest and implement improvements to maintenance procedures and equipment performance. Stay current with industry trends and technologies.
• Ad Hoc Duties: Perform additional duties as assigned by management to support the overall operations of the port.

• Nitec in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in motor controls, hydraulic, pneumatic, PLC, and electrical/mechanical maintenance.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and maintenance software.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and line diagrams.
• Comfortable to work at heights, lifting heavy equipment and willing to work outdoor and in dusty environment.
