Routine Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance on a variety of port equipment, including cranes and heavy lifting machinery.
Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues related to mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic control systems. Expertise in troubleshooting motor controls, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and PLCs is required.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance. Prepare and submit detailed reports as necessary.
Safety Compliance: Ensure maintenance and repair work adheres to safety regulations and industry standards. Participate in safety audits and training sessions.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with technical staff and other departments to coordinate maintenance schedules and resolve equipment issues efficiently.
Continuous Improvement: Suggest and implement improvements to maintenance procedures and equipment performance. Stay current with industry trends and technologies.
Ad Hoc Duties: Perform additional duties as assigned by management to support the overall operations of the port.
Job Requirements:
Nitec in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in motor controls, hydraulic, pneumatic, PLC, and electrical/mechanical maintenance.
Strong troubleshooting skills for mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
Proficiency with diagnostic tools and maintenance software.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and line diagrams.
Comfortable to work at heights, lifting heavy equipment and willing to work outdoor and in dusty environment.
