The team delivers a broad suite of services to support our customers struggling with the challenges of delivering on climate and broader sustainability expectations. Our consultants support our customers in making critical strategic decisions in an equitable, transparent, and profitable way.The team is part of a global DNV network of specialists in decarbonization and energy transition strategies for industry, transport and power generation. It is an exciting time to join - the demand for our services is growing rapidly as countries in the Asia-Pacific region look to deliver their climate commitments, and you will become part of a team of some of the world\'s leading experts in this field.Your tasks include:Within the decarbonization advisory segment we are growing, and are looking for candidates with the expertise and ambition to contribute to a multi-disciplinary team working on a broad range of ESG-related projects. These projects may include work scopes such as:

  • Conducting ESG due diligence studies for assets in the Infrastructure, Energy and Oil and Gas sectors.
  • Creating and delivering ESG Strategies and sustainability programs, including policy and procedures.
  • Performing ESG materiality assessments for companies or portfolio level.
  • Aiding the implementation of ESG frameworks and standards, supporting reporting and disclosure of customers.
  • Evaluation of ESG performance of companies in the relevant sectors.
  • Providing key research, assessment and advisory insight and support to our customers.
  • Evaluation of stakeholder engagement, social studies, social risk assessment process against international standards.
Key accountabilitiesYou will provide expertise in consulting and project management to our clients, and key accountabilities include:
  • Providing expertise to multiple projects, managing own time to meet deadlines.
  • Ensuring that projects are executed within scope, quality, budget and planning requirements.
  • Advise our clients about ESG, decarbonization, energy management, greenhouse gas (GHG) accounting and GHG reduction measures.
  • Fostering positive relationships with existing and new clients, understanding client needs and developing winning proposals.
  • Support our customers with strategic projects
  • Contributing to clear and high-quality customer interactions and presentations in project delivery.
  • Managing portfolio of clients in terms of projects, reports, presentations and deliverables.
  • Leading and supporting the production of technical reports for clients.
  • Networking and liaising internally to build project delivery expertise and collaboration between different teams
  • Build strong relationship with existing and new customers
  • Develop new customer relationships and bring in additional work for the ESG team

Education:Bachelor\'s Degree (or higher) in engineering, science or sustainable energy.Specialisations in energy efficiency-related topics, energy value chains, ESG, and decarbonization would be viewed favourably.Desirable experience:
  • 5 - 10 years of relevant working experience, preferably within the energy sector, heavy industries or an engineering consultancy within the sustainability and ESG space, including decarbonization, climate change risk, community engagement, biodiversity and policy assessment.
  • Excellent situation assessment skills - able to assess and understand complex problems, work with large data sets, have attention to detail and create logical solutions and ideas.
  • Proven ability to produce clear and concise written technical reports, provide presentations, and communicate verbally in English.
  • Ability to clearly articulate and present complex ideas and concepts to a diverse range of stakeholders. Strategic and out of the box thinking is often required on projects
  • Knowledge of Sustainable Development Goals, Paris agreement framework, Climate change and energy transition frameworks and standards i.e. GRI, PRI, TCFD, SASB etc.
  • Self-starting knowledge of greenhouse gas accounting, energy transition and decarbonization challenges and trends. Advanced knowledge of the GHG protocol, ISO 14xxx family, RED II, ISCC, etc. is a plus.
  • Ability to manage own time and workload effectively and meet objectives
  • Ability to handle complex (technical) problems and be able to deal with multiple parties with conflicting interests.
