Role Overview
We are looking for a motivated and results-driven Events Executive to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating event operations while supporting sales and sponsorship activities across MediaComz's event portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
Identify, prospect, and secure new sponsors, exhibitors, and advertising partners.
Help with the planning and smooth running of events, conferences, and masterclasses.
Coordinate with venues, vendors, speakers, and participants so that logistics are well-managed.
Work with our internal teams (marketing, content, operations) to make sure sponsor commitments are delivered as agreed.
Represent MediaComz at events and meetings and share information about what we do.
Support on-site event operations -- including registration, guest support, and general troubleshooting when needed.
Keep communication clear and consistent with clients, partners, and colleagues.
Prepare and format emails, proposals, and basic reports when required.
Maintain and update contact lists of sponsors, clients, speakers, and partners.
Assist with identifying and reaching out to potential sponsors, exhibitors, and advertising partners.
Requirements
Diploma in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related discipline.
2-4 years of experience in B2B sales, sponsorship, or event management (experience in media, maritime, or industrial sectors preferred).
Strong presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal communication skills.
Proven ability to meet sales targets and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Self-motivated, independent, and results-oriented with a keen eye for detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with CRM systems is an advantage.
Willingness to travel occasionally for events and client meetings.
