Events Lead

Our client is a Singapore-headquartered global conglomerate that has an impressive and diverse portfolio of investments ranging from transport, resources, real estate, investment management and lifestyle industries. The role: Reporting to the Head of Branding and Communications, this role will be responsible for delivering exceptional and curated events experience to our internal and external stakeholders through the management and execution of events. You will also act as the clients Brand Ambassador at events. Key responsibilities:
  • Internal and External Event Management Liaise with internal and external stakeholders such as education institutions, partners to ensure seamless and curated event experiences.
    • Strategic thinker with a passion for planning both local and global/internal and external event planning, concept development and project management.
    • Plan and execute exceptional and curated high-quality events from start to finish, including conceptualizing, client liaison, project planning, budget management, supplier coordination, management of internal resourced, venue selection (if applicable), catering, decor, lighting, sound, and entertainment. This includes integration of digital products where applicable.
    • Manage and lead a diverse range of events ranging from dialogue sessions, conferences, and festivals to influence overall content and programme including topics and prospective speakers. These diverse events showcase the clients commitment to sustainability and consciousness/inner transformation. (E.g., Conferences related to Sustainable Development Goals, Largescale festivals centred on well-being and Consciousness, Bespoke dialogue sessions with thought leaders in Economics, In-house employee engagement events related to culture-building and wellbeing)
  • Event Documentation/ CRM Management Responsible for preparing all event documentation. Developing and managing timelines, risk registers and status reports and ensuring events are running to schedule and as expected.
    Manage the event CRM, including data entry, updating speaker/attendee information, and maintaining accurate records(both past, potential and current) on CRM database tool.

The person:
  • 8-10 years of experience in B2C/ B2B event planning and conference management, with a focus on creating exceptional event experiences.
  • Proven ability to think creatively and strategically to develop innovative event concepts and experiences. Experience in show-calling is mandated.
  • Strong track record of planning and executing exceptional event experiences across diverse categories.
  • Influencer Management - Owns relationships within ministerial and C-suite circles.
  • Ability to analyse problems and demonstrate critical thinking.
  • A deep understanding of the well-being industry and the latest trends and topics.
  • An affinity with Chinese culture the sustainable eastern practices.
  • Knowledge of sustainable event practices and a passion for conscious living and inner transformation.
  • Effectively bilingual in English & Mandarin
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and a strong sense of editorial standards.
