RESPONSIBILITIES



Digital Engagement + Develop and publish student-relevant content across Instagram, Telegram, and the IIE website, with a focus on storytelling and community engagement. + Support UX/UI enhancements to improve the IIE website's structure, clarity, and alignment with SMU branding.
+ Design simple dashboards and implement tools to track digital performance across platforms (social media, web traffic, engagement rates).
+ Provide performance insights to inform future content strategy and outreach efforts.
+ Suggest new formats and content styles that resonate with students.
Student VC Symposium + Assist in crafting marketing and outreach plans to engage student venture capitalists, Southeast Asia-based VCs, and startup ecosystem stakeholders. + Design event branding materials (e.g., digital collaterals, social visuals, speaker/investor spotlights).
+ Collaborate with the event team to produce investor onboarding kits, day-of communication flows, and post-event engagement materials.
+ Contribute to content wrap-ups (e.g., summary decks, photo captions, social highlights) to drive post-event visibility.
UNITE Forum + Support the communication strategy for the inaugural UNITE Forum, engaging academic, public, and industry audiences. + Coordinate thematic campaigns and speaker/social spotlights aligned with the Forum's four focus areas.
+ Liaise with SMU departments and partnering institutions to ensure cohesive branding and messaging.
+ Assist in documentation, live coverage, and post-event storytelling to position SMU as a leader in university innovation.
Any other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Degree / Post Graduate Degree in any discipline. Marketing & Communication Skills: + Strong foundation in digital marketing, event branding, and content writing. + Experience in managing social media accounts (Instagram, LinkedIn, Telegram preferred).
+ Confidence in creating visual collaterals using Canva (Adobe Creative Suite is a plus).
Web & Analytics Tools: + Familiarity with web CMS (Drupal or equivalent), Google Analytics, and Meta Business Suite. + Ability to design, interpret, and present digital performance dashboards.
Event & Stakeholder Communication: + Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work across diverse teams and stakeholder groups. + Clear communicator with the ability to translate complex themes (e.g., tech transfer, venture capital) into accessible and engaging content.
+ Project coordination skills with a flair for storytelling and community engagement.
Personal Attributes: + Creative, adaptable, and self-motivated with a collaborative mindset. + Detail-oriented and comfortable managing concurrent workstreams.
+ A strong connection to student
