What the role is:You will work in Memorial Facilities and Planning Division within the Public Health Services and Capabilities Group and assist the section to provide after-death care services at government cemetery and crematorium office.What you will be working on:Carry out preparatory works, such as ground survey, verify documents, plot layout plan and clean up burial records of the affected graves prior to physical exhumationCarry out site inspections at the cemetery and columbarium groundsManage registered exhumation and niche contractors and other parties involved in exhumation related projectsParticipate in other operational work (Qing Ming operations, 7th month and other festivals operations, etc.) at the CCK Cemetery complexAttend to public feedback and enquiries, including handling difficult customers and putting up recommendations to challenging casesTrack and monitor ground situations, including statistics collation and reports preparationDevelop and review work process, and put in place systems to ensure efficient operations with no errorsPerform other duties assigned by supervisorWhat we are looking for:The ideal candidate should possess the following qualities:Candidates are required to have good problem-solving, writing & communication skills, and be mature, independent, responsible, and resourceful.A good team player with excellent communication, interpersonal and investigation skills.Candidates are required to have physical stamina to walk and stand long durations every day, and to withstand exposure to weather conditions.Preferably with Class 2 or 3 license and is willing to drive department vehicle (if available) for work purposeAble and willing to work on weekends and public holidays, and to work in after-death environment.As part of the shortlisting process for this role, you may be required to complete a medical declaration and/or undergo further assessment.Applicants will be updated on the status of their applications within 4 weeks of the closing date of this job posting.About National Environment Agency:The National Environment Agency (NEA) is the leading public organisation responsible for ensuring a clean and sustainable environment for Singapore.
