Role Responsibilities
Strategy

  • The role is a front office role responsible for product development, as well as the successful delivery and implementation of new trading and distribution capabilities across Financial Markets. The role will drive FM\'s change strategy and investment program, and will work closely with Trading, Sales and Structuring to ensure effective commercialisation of new products and capabilities including engagement with external stakeholders such as clients, regulators and industry associations. The role will also collaborate closely with infrastructure and support functions to deliver new capabilities in a robust and sustainable manner.
Business
  • The Product Manager must have an in-depth knowledge of FX and Rates, market structure and understand how these can fit into the broader strategy of the Bank. The Product Manager will work closely with Trading, Sales and Structuring to develop new products that are appropriate and relevant to the Bank\'s client base. The Product Manager will work closely with Banking and Sales to critically assess opportunities, areas of growth and potential risks, with the aim to drive sustainable growth in digital asset revenues. The Product Manager will work with Technology to design and implement an ecosystem that supports digital assets for Financial Markets. The Product Manager will guide the support and control functions as the Bank launches new products and will ensure the post trade processes are designed to support digital assets. The Product Manager will stay abreast of market developments and make appropriate recommendations related to onboarding 3 rd parties and assist both Banking and Legal in those negotiations
Processes
  • Work with COO and 2 nd line functions to ensure appropriate frameworks and operational infrastructure are in place to facilitate compliance with industry codes & applicable external laws and regulations in the handling, use and dissemination of client data. Assist the training of FM sales staff and RMs in relevant FM products and platforms
People & Talent
  • Lead through example and build the appropriate culture and values. Set appropriate tone and expectations, work in collaboration with risk and control partners. Adherence to code of conduct prescribed by relevant authorities.
Risk Management
  • Adhere to all Group Policies and relevant legislation covering credit, operational, reputational risk among others. Commitment to Group Code of Conduct and act as a role model for Conduct. Timely completion of all mandatory e-learning, attestations, compliance requirements and requests for information.

  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group\'s Values and Code of Conduct. Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct. Our Ideal Candidate
  • Degree holder with 10+ years of relevant financial markets experience
  • Strong understanding of Group business model and strategy in the context of being a globally regulated banking entity.
  • Strong understanding of innovation, technology, new business models, and project management experience
  • Ability to manage multi-dimensional and complex topics across different businesses
