Job Description

The Executive Director (Singapore) will serve as the firm's senior representative in Singapore, overseeing strategic growth, investment origination, and operational leadership. Acting as the country lead, this individual will be responsible for driving Sherwin Capital's business development agenda, managing key stakeholder relationships, and ensuring compliance with local financial regulations and governance standards.


This is a leadership position suited for a highly driven professional with deep understanding of private investment markets and proven experience in leading teams or operations within financial institutions, investment firms, or family offices.


Key Responsibilities:



Lead the Singapore office as the principal executive, overseeing strategic direction, business operations, and financial performance. Identify and originate investment opportunities aligned with the firm's portfolio strategy across private equity, venture, and alternative assets. Build and maintain relationships with institutional investors, family offices, and strategic partners in Singapore and the broader Southeast Asia region. Oversee due diligence, risk assessment, and investment execution in collaboration with the firm's Hong Kong headquarters. Ensure full compliance with MAS (Monetary Authority of Singapore) and other relevant local regulatory frameworks. Represent the firm at key regional business forums, investor meetings, and industry associations. Provide strategic input to the Board and Hong Kong leadership team on market intelligence, regional expansion, and investment trends. Lead and develop a small local team, instilling a culture of professionalism, accountability, and performance excellence.

Requirements:



Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field; postgraduate or CFA qualification preferred. Minimum 12-15 years of progressive experience in investment management, private equity, corporate finance, or asset management. Proven track record in business leadership, deal origination, or fund-raising across Southeast Asia. Strong understanding of investment structures, valuation methodologies, and financial due diligence. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience working across borders and cultures. Demonstrated ability to operate both strategically and hands-on within a lean organization. Existing regulatory familiarity or licensing under the Monetary Authority of Singapore (if applicable) will be advantageous.
