What the role is:
As an Executive Engineer / Engineer (Hydrogeology) in the Water Systems Department, Planning & Capability Development Division, you will be part of an inter-disciplinary team to lead the development of engineering models to understand hydrological systems and enhance integrated water resource management and undertake related R&D projects.
What you will be working on:
Your responsibilities will include, but not limited to the following areas: o Data Analysis: work in a multidisciplinary team to collect and analyse data from trial boreholes, hydraulic tests, and geological studies. o Flow modelling: work closely with the project consultants to develop and refine flow models to optimise water resources. o Model calibration and updating: Calibrate and update models using field monitoring data. o Report preparation: prepare comprehensive reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations. o Knowledge management: maintain and implement standard protocols for model development, calibration, and validation to ensure that models are properly archived and version controlled. o Any other duties as assigned.
