What the role is:
The DSTA Academy delivers systems engineering and project management training to DSTA staff through in-house courses, and curated knowledge resources. We collaborate with technical and subject matter experts to maintain a relevant, up-to-date repository of information resources that support continual learning. We are seeking a motivated individual to support the operations of the Information Resource Centre.
What you will be working on:
1. Subscribe to relevant information resources cost-effectively, by performing the following tasks: o Process requests, source and purchase information resources. o Ensure that information resources are tagged correctly to improve search. 2. Ensure the library system and information resources are available for staff's use, by performing the following tasks: o Create and update login guides to information resources. o Identify and correct errors in the library system, e.g. broken links. o Perform stocktake of information resources. o Ensure the physical library premises are tidy, with vendor support as needed. o Process staff loans of print information resources. 3. Perform tasks in compliance with procurement and finance policies, and library operating procedures. 4. Support the team lead to automate and/or refine workflows (e.g. sourcing and purchasing information resources) to improve efficiency. 5. Support the team lead to analyse information resource usage and perform follow-up improvements. 6. Perform additional tasks as assigned, such as system testing.
What we are looking for:
o Diploma or equivalent. o Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office tools, e.g. email, spreadsheets. o Resourceful, proactive, and meticulous. o Good interpersonal and communication skills.
