Job Description

Job PurposeThe Executive, Learning Analytics will be responsible for researching, developing, testing, implementing & maintaining learning data engineering solutions managed by SMRT Institute in consultation with key stakeholders to support data-driven training processes to improve workplace performance, drive business results and achieve high rail reliability.Learning data engineering solutions include SMRT Institute\'s learning data infrastructure in SMRT\'s common data environment (CDE), centralization of SMRT learning data, robotic process automation, Power BI dashboards & Excel reports using learning data collected in SMRT\'s Learning Management System for organization-wide training KPIs.ResponsibilitiesThe duties and responsibilities of Executive, Learning Analytics, are as listed below. Note that the list is not comprehensive and related duties and responsibilities may be assigned from time to time.

• Work with appropriate stakeholders to develop, maintain & optimise the SMRT Institute\'s data infrastructure in Microsoft Azure containing SQL & Pyspark notebook to support all Learning Analytics data engineering solutions.
• Research, develop, test, implement & maintain all Learning Analytics learning data engineering solutions and support the consultation process with key stakeholders.
• Develop & maintain the smooth operation of Excel learning data reports & Power BI dashboards managed by SMRTi on organization-wide training KPIs.
• Provide first level support for Excel learning data reports & Power BI dashboards queries raised by SMRT department training teams & management.
• Respond to Learning Analytics data engineering solutions & Power BI dashboards down-times, escalate any availability and functional issues to appropriate stakeholders for timely resolution.
• Configure & provision all software access and carry out regular user access reviews for all SMRT Institute\'s data engineering solutions.
• Develop user & developer documentation of all data engineering solutions.
• Drive user knowledge of Learning Analytics data engineering solutions & Power BI dashboards through planning and creation of self-directed learning contents (e.g. guides, FAQs) and regular engagement sessions for SMRT department training teams & management.

Qualifications & Work Experience

• Degree in Maths / Statistics / Analytics / Technology or a relevant discipline.
• Good understanding of enterprise applications, business processes and business requirement analysis.
• Good communication skills and experience in collaborating with different team members from business and technology.
• Good analytical, decision-making and problem-solving skills
• Strong in project management, information management and creative thinking
• Ability to work and deliver in a fast-paced environment and within tight timelines

SkillsTechnical skills include:

• Advanced proficiency preferably in SQL & Pyspark, or any other data programming language.
• Advanced proficiency preferably in Microsoft Azure & Power Automate or other database tools.
• Advanced proficiency preferably in Power BI & Excel, or other business intelligence tools.

Generic skills include:

• A team player who is a fast learner, has an open mind-set, collaborative, highly independent, committed, adaptable & agile.
• Demonstrate good interpersonal and communication skills to educate & train management & SMRT department training teams
