Pathlight School is the first autism-focused school in Singapore to offer a unique blend of Singapore mainstream national curriculum and life readiness skills. We are currently the largest special education school in Singapore. We invite candidates who have proven commitment and competence to join us in the role of Executive, Operations and Estate Management.

Pathlight School is part of Autism Resource Centre (Singapore) or ARC(S), a not-for-profit charity based in Singapore. ARC(S) is dedicated to serving children and adults on the autism spectrum, to help these individuals lead meaningful and independent lives in society.

As Executive, Operations and Estate Management, your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to) the following:

  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of the building(s) and all its systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and security.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the building to ensure that it is well-maintained and secure.
  • Coordinate and oversee renovation projects and repairs, ensuring that work is completed on time and within budget.
  • Supervise janitorial, maintenance, security personnel and contractors, ensuring that they complete their tasks efficiently and effectively.
  • Ensure that the building(s) are in compliance with all applicable regulations, including safety, environmental, and accessibility requirements.
  • Develop and implement security and safety procedures, including fire safety and emergency evacuation protocols.
  • Manage vendor relationships and contracts for building services and supplies.
  • Monitor energy usage and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Manage budgets for building operations and maintenance, and work to keep costs within budgetary constraints.
  • Keep abreast of new trends and technologies in building management and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Any other responsibilities as assigned by Operations Manager
Requirements:
  • Minimum Diploma in Facilities Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in building management, facilities management, or related field.
  • Knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and security.
  • Understanding of building codes, safety regulations, and environmental requirements.
  • Proficiency with computer software, including Microsoft Office and AutoCAD
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Energetic and able to work in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Comfortable with being deployed to different locations: North-East, East
  • Strong desire to learn about Autism and possess the passion to serve the special needs community
