Pan Pacific Orchard, Singapore presents the pinnacle of design by award-winning WOHA, located in Singapore\'s prime district Orchard Road.

The 23-floor destination hotel redefines the city\'s landscape with four themed open-air terraces of distinctive design concepts - Forest, Beach, Garden and Cloud.

Nestled amidst the Forest Terrace is new signature restaurant Mosella, which will introduce a sharing concept of Mediterranean cuisine with a refreshing Peruvian twist. The Beach Terrace will bring a resort-like experience to the heart of the city, and above, the Garden Terrace will be home to Florette, the Champagne & Oysters specialty bar. At the highest levels of the Cloud Terrace, level 18 will house Orchard\'s highest pillarless ballroom, Claymore Ballroom.

The Role

Be part of an amazing team at PAN PACIFIC ORCHARD, SINGAPORE to redefine the city\'s landscape.

The Executive Pastry Chef directs and oversees the pastry and baking functions, including menu development, inventory and purchasing of supplies, and cost control. He/She tests and develops recipes and monitors customer satisfaction. He/She is responsible for the creation of dessert menus to maximize profits and minimize loss. The Executive Pastry Chef also maintains the safety and sanitation regulations of the kitchen equipment. He/She recruits, deploys and develops kitchen personnel.

Our Expectations:

  • Oversee the day to day operations of the Pastry and Bakery section
  • Lead shifts while personally preparing food and pastry items and executing requests based on required specifications.
  • Innovate and develop quality pastry, bakery and food items that are creative by harnessing on latest production trends and methods.
  • Develop and implement artistic presentation and display for all pastry, bakery, food and room amenities.
  • Control and manage purchasing, receiving, food preparation handling and storage standards.
  • Manage all bulk ingredients and ensure all fresh produce comply to all food safety adn hygiene standards.
  • Minimize wastage and ensure optimal utilisation of all baking equipment.
  • Maintain food hygiene and safety standards at all times. Monitor and ensure compliance by Team.
  • Responsible for manpower resourcing and its optimal planning and deployment. Actively participate to select talent for the Team.
  • Support the Hotel\'s Training and Development activities, by playing a key and active hands-on role to train the Team on recipe development, food preparation, hygiene and all standard operating procedures.
Talent Profile

We are looking for a self-motivated and passionate team player who is able to adapt to a fast paced environment. You should have an eye for detail yet creative and nimble with ability to adapt to ever changing requirements and needs of operations. If you have at least eight years of experience in pastry and bakery in the hospitality industry with at least five years managing a large team, write in to have a chat with us!
