Roles & Responsibilities The successful candidate will join the Industrial Relations Department in SIA Human Resources Division. You will be the custodian of Company internal Disciplinary process, in ensuring that processes are adhered to in the events of misconduct to ensure

  • Nil escalated fair practices and/or grievance cases with reputational impact to Company
  • 100% compliance with employment legislations, fair employment practices and frameworks
  • Operational excellence
  • Compliance, risk management, safety, sustainability
Key Responsibilities include:
  • Close monitoring of evolving landscape and tighter rules and enforcement on employment act provisions, longer employment, workplace discrimination and employee fair practices/ grievance handling
  • Engagement of line management to keep abreast of new employment legislations and practices, including potential changes to TAFEP advisories and enforcement.
  • Custodian of the Employee Code of Conduct Policy and Staff Regulations.
  • Handling of Company disciplinary inquiries and education
  • Employee Relations and grievance handling
  • Company Training Committee with SIASU, AESU and NTUC to leverage on funding support for training as well as to work collaboratively with unions to foster a mindset of continuous learning and development amongst staff.
Requirements
  • University degree, and familiar with local labour legislation such as Employment Act, Industrial Relations Act and Trade Unions Act.
  • Experience with Success Factors HR would be an advantage as job requires much extraction and analysis of data.
  • Experiences in HR policies, employee relations and investigations/ grievance handling processes or union relations will be preferred.
  • Strong inter-personal skills (EQ) and the confidence to work with management, departmental heads and union leaders.
  • Personal integrity and essential as incumbent is privy to sensitive and confidential information some of which could affect him/herself.
  • Strong thinking and analytical skills (IQ) and be able to view issues from broad perspectives.
  • Resourceful, independent and be able to propose practical solutions.
