The Opportunity
We are looking for a dedicated Executive - Technical to be part of our Mercedes-Benz Commercial Vehicles Aftersales team. You will be responsible for the day-to-day workshop operations in the service centre, leading, motivating, and ensuring the performance of the team. Being in a dynamic environment, you are expected to adapt, pick up and apply new skills and knowledge necessary to your success in this role.

Responsibilities:

• Need to perform diagnosis of the vehicle using MB diagnostic tools and read and understand the technical documentation.
• Read the schematic drawing and familiarise yourself with electrical wiring.
• To train and supervise a team of customization techs.
• Basic to mid-level bodybuilder knowledge and experience. Able to design and build customer-centric solutions for both Vans & Trucks. Eg, cabin storage, etc
• To create and retrofit additional vehicle accessories in addition to the system as per customer request.
• Assist in addressing customers' requests and providing the solution to enhance the existing vehicle features.
• Provide the drawing and schematic diagram for the retrofitted system.
• Provide the cause of the fault and its rectification and electrical diagram.
• Assist in assigning and scheduling work to technicians.
• Any other duties that the supervisor assigns from time to time.

Requirements:

• A minimum tertiary qualification in Automotive Technology or engineering-related discipline.
• Relevant experience in automotive vehicle accessories and good knowledge of electrical/electronic.
• Relevant knowledge in vehicle bodywork.
• Demonstrate good communication skills and interpersonal skills working as a team
• Passion for Automotive Technology and the ability to prioritise and plan effectively
• With initiative and a positive attitude towards creating new ideas and design
• Possess a valid Class 3 driving license
