Job Description

The Volunteer Management and Programmes Executive plays a key role in

recruiting, engaging, and retaining volunteers

while

supporting ABLE's outreach and programme initiatives

. The role involves managing the full volunteer lifecycle, building meaningful partnerships with corporate and community stakeholders, and coordinating programmes that promote inclusion, empowerment, and community impact.





Key Responsibilities:





Volunteer Management



Recruitment



Implement strategies to attract volunteers with the right skills, interests in alignment with ABLE's vision and programme needs. Conduct recruitment activities, engage volunteers through various platforms and initiatives.

Training and Onboarding



Source, facilitate and conduct training for volunteers to support ABLE's programmes. Ensure volunteers adhere to ABLE's code of conduct, confidentiality, and safety guidelines. Facilitate onboarding and match volunteers to appropriate programmes and clients based on needs and interests

Management and Engagement



Oversee the full volunteer life cycle process from recruitment, screening/interview, matching, orientation, deployment, review/feedback, appreciation, training and exit in close collaboration with the Programme Heads. Maintain, update volunteer records and track volunteer hours/contributions with regular follow-up communications on events/activities. Coordinate volunteer schedules and assignments across ABLE's programmes and events. Build and maintain relationships with volunteers, community partners, and corporate organizations to identify corporate social responsibility (CSR) and develop volunteering opportunities. Develop and implement a Volunteer Recognition Framework that celebrates service milestones, exceptional contributions, and ongoing commitment through awards, appreciation events, and certificates to foster long-term commitment. Implement a structured skills-based volunteering framework where there are internal capacity gaps and opportunities (e.g., Therapy, HR, IT, finance, communications). Cultivate and manage relationships with corporate partners, professional associations, and tertiary institutions interested in skills-based volunteerism. Develop corporate volunteering proposals and partnership agreements. Implement activities, programmes and continuous training to engage volunteers based on their interests and competencies. Evaluate volunteer management policies and processes for effectiveness and implement improvements. Prepare reports and provide feedback to management on volunteer community progress and identify areas for improvement in volunteer retention, growth and potential conversion to donors. Maintain accurate volunteer and donor records, including donors' tax-deductible receipts (TDRs), with the aim of providing insights to support retention and recognition Prepare presentations and reports of volunteers & donors statistics for management meetings when required

Programmes (Reintegration & Respite) Management



Develop and implement outreach strategies to raise awareness of Able programmes. Build and maintain strong relationships with partners, and community organisations to explore collaboration opportunities. Organize, plan, coordinate, and oversee the delivery of activities and events.

Requirements



Diploma or Degree in Nonprofit Management, Social Work, Business, Communications, or related fields. At least 1 year of relevant experience in volunteer management, donor relations, event planning, or community engagement (preferred) Proficient in MS Office; experience with CRM systems is an advantage
