Job Description



The successful candidate will join Security Department, Safety, Security & Quality Division. He/She will provide professional oversight in Premises Security in Singapore, with secondary duties in Flight Security, thereby ensuring secure worldwide operations.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Formulate Security Policies and Governance for SIA Premises
  • Establish the framework and procedures for Aviation and Premises security operations of SIA premises.
  • Conduct regular risk/threat assessments and review the effectiveness of current security measures.
  • Draft and develop corporate security manuals
  • Conduct regular security audits of operations at various SIA locations
Provide security advice to Business Units and provide support in incident management * Contract Management duties and dealing with security providers
  • Collection of intelligence, analysis, monitoring and dissemination to various stakeholders in the SIA Group security eco-system. The candidate should be experienced with maintaining a comprehensive database of intelligence findings. It will be useful to be experienced with digital/automation tools that shortlist intelligence developments.
  • Flight Security: Training (Secondary shared role)
  • Conduct security training for Staff and Crew members
  • Conduct security education for new employees and frontline staff.
  • Flight Security: Security Risk Management - Duty Security Administrator (DSA) (Secondary shared role)
  • To be on-call at all times to handle security incidents
  • Assess threats and provide guidance to line management.
  • Monitor security developments based on intelligence from various sources.
Requirements
  • A degree in any discipline.
  • Experience with security or law enforcement is preferred
  • Knowledge of current security technologies including access control system, CCTV, etc.
  • Familiarity with investigative tactics including interviewing and documentation.
  • Integrity, excellent judgment, discretion and diplomacy, along with good written & oral communications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, to interpret the impact of the current and changing political situations on the security of civil aviation, and, in particular, SIA.
  • Excellent planning and organisation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make unpopular decisions to achieve company objectives.
  • Ability to manage vendors from various nationalities and backgrounds.
  • Flexibility and adaptability for a rapid and evolving work environment.
