Rapid urbanization tends to increase urban temperature, carbon dioxide (CO2) emission, and ozone levels, which make urban areas warmer than rural areas. CO2 makes up for more than 95.5% of total greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, with the main source coming from industry related sectors. In order to meet net zero targets by 2050, there are several key areas to develop. 1) Carbon Capture, Storage and Utilization (CCSU); 2)Exploring new and greener forms of energy like Hydrogen or ammonia. Sembcorp continuously looks into novel technologies that we can innovate and integrate to decarbonize our business. The program scope includes:
- Monitoring technologies in the CCSU and hydrogen/ammonia space;
- Identifying the trends in research and technological advancement, market and business trends; and
- Assessing market potential and cost benefit analysis of selected technologies or companies.
Requirements:
- Passionate to learn new things and has a curious mind.
- Has the ability to analyze data and extract key information.
- Has experience in literature search and reviews.
- Knowledge and experience related to chemistry and/or materials (plus point).
